In the lead up to the Edison Entrepreneurial Week, the Edison committee have been doing a lot of preparation for the upcoming week.
We have been organising games and guest speakers for 1st, 2nd, 4th and 5th years, that introduce the students and teachers to entrepreneurial skills and how they can benefit them. The activities that we have planned are 'Risk City', an educational board game, TED Talks, which showcase teens with revolutionary ideas, serious Lego Play, which inspires creativity within the students and a short presentation to inform the students about Edison and it's purpose.
Our exhibition is being held on Thursday the 10th and Friday the 11th of March. During these days, various mini-companies, businesses and other committees and organisations within our school will be showcased. This is taking place in the ground flooe of the new school building, By displaying the various work done by students in our school, the Edison project endeavours to encourage and inspire others to pursue and ideas they may have, and try to get the most out of their education.
Most of the preparation for the Edison week is being organised this week and our committee is learning how to play the games so we can go into the classes and teach them, while also introducing the skills.
We hope that the Edison project is successful and we succeed in informing the students about the entrepreneurial skills.
