About the Edison Project

The Edison (Educational Diversity & Innovative Skills ON Entrepreneurship) Project is an initiative set up to encourage entrepreneurial skills in the classroom and around the school. The aim of our committee is to try to incorporate the following skills into the school day:

-Creativity

-Teamwork

-Risk taking

-Convincing

-Adaptability

From the 29th of February to the 4th of March, we will be organising a week, to include all of these skills into lessons. On the last day, we are setting up an exhibition, to display all of the businesses already set up in our school in the hopes that it will encourage pupils in the school to start a business if they are interested.

We have three committees, each in charge of a different component of the Project.

-Event Organising Committee: Róisín Dunlea, Jade Lagrue & Chelsie Desmond

-Public Relations: Martha Moynihan, Niamh Leddy & Hannah Dalton

-Exhibition Committee: Eimear Sugrue & Niamh Leddy

Our Chairperson is Róisín Dunlea & our Secretary is Niamh Leddy. They were elected by the others involved in the Edison Project team because of their strong leadership skills and willingness to work hard.

So far, our meetings have been focused on organising activities for the week in February and ensuring that the activities are suited to each year group.
